Paleo Chocolate Donuts
Time: 30 minutes
1/2 cup coconut flour*
2 tbsp cacao powder*
1/4 tsp baking soda
pinch pink salt*
2 tbsp coconut oil*, melted but not hot
2 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce, I use Three Threes Apple sauce
2 tbsp agave*
1/2 tsp vanilla bean
coconut sugar *
Preheat oven 180c (fan-forced)
Combine all dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
In a small mixing bowl place all you wet ingredients and combine well with a hand whisk.
Create a well in your dry ingredients in pour in egg mix. Mix well till combined well, but dont crush the air out of your coconut flour.
In your 6 hole donut form press your mixture in making sure the base is smooth. Let sit for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes place in your preheated oven for 15minutes. Remove from oven and turn donut form onto bench allowing the donuts to fake our on their own.
Drizzle a little melted coconut oil over your donuts and sprinkle with coconut sugar and cinnamon, to your taste, do one donut at a time for best results.
