Salted Caramel Almond Milk – Paleo, Vegan, Raw

I love a sweet treat, I wont deny it and I also love milk! Which is surprising because both my parents grew up on dairy farms and rarely touched milk, not because they saw processes they didn’t like but because when ever the tanker drivers went on strike when they where kids their mothers would make all they could with milk, so just a little overdosed at an early age. So when transitioning to Paleo you’d think I’d struggle to let it go, but Almond milk is so dam good that it really wasn’t that hard.
At a Teacher Training over the weekend the local girls took me to this flash little juice place that had all kinds of healthy juices, cleanses & ‘mylks’ (thats what they called it). I decided to taste the Salted Caramel Almond Milk and it was a little sip of heaven. When I got home the following day I decided I need to make something that was just as amazing for a sweet little afternoon pick me up.

5 medjool dates, pitted
400ml unsweetened almond milk, chilled
pinch pink salt
Using your blender or your smoothie maker, place all ingredients in and pulse till well combined. depending on the power of your blender it might be quick or take a little longer like mine 🙁 I know I need to invest in a fancy smoothie maker but the one I have isn’t quiet dead yet! Pour into a glass and enjoy.
